National Championship: Bama Does It Again

The Tucker and Rutherford crew loaded up and headed to New Orleans for the BCS National Championship game between the Alabama Crimson Tide and the LSU Tigers.  We had a blast and made some great memories that started this year off just right.  The best part of the trip was a shut-out of 21-0 over the Tigers!

Roll Tide Roll!

The entire crew stayed at the Beau Rivage in Biloxi, and then we car-pooled over to New Orleans the day of the game.  The Beau Rivage was beautiful and really made me want to go back to Vegas soon!

There were so many people in New Orleans for the game.  I couldn't get over how big the crowd was, and I pretty much people watched the afternoon of the game away! The people-watching was made easy because of the awesome balcony view we had!We met up with Tommy and Sue, dear friends of the Tucker family, and enjoyed the afternoon on their Bourbon Street balcony.

And yes, this is directly across from the location where the infamous, "sexual" criminal act took place between the Alabama and LSU fan. Fortunately, I was no longer "people watching" at that point. =)

William made the trip with us, which made the trip even better. It was our first time traveling a long distance with him. He did great! I sat in the backseat with him to talk to him, feed him snacks, and play with him. Paw Paw and Maw Maw also made the trip with us and kept William at the hotel the day of the game. I owe them big time for doing this!

The feeling was awesome when Bama won the 2009 title in the Rose Bowl, and it was just a sweet experiencing the Tide roll in the Superdome for the 2011 title. This was an experience of a lifetime. I'm a pretty lucky girl to have experienced them both!
