Cutest Little Pumpkin in the Patch

I've seen people on facebook posting all these adorable pictures of their kids at pumpkin patches.  I've listened to my teacher friends talk about taking their kiddos to the pumpkin patch.  Just the other morning, my sister was showing me all these priceless pictures of Alex and Jorja at a pumpkin patch.   I've had a knot in my stomach all week long....Were we supposed to take William to a pumpkin patch?  I had no plans to take William to a pumpkin patch....Growing up, I never went to a pumpkin patch....What is the big deal with a pumpkin patch???!!!!!

This morning Dustin and I (in a race with the rain, might I add) took William to the closet thing around town that I could find to a pumpkin patch, and IT WAS PERFECT!  We found a church on HWY 77 that had pumpkins for sale.  They had small "patches" of pumpkins scattered around the lawn.  The church also had a nice display set up for photos.

Now I know what the big deal with the pumpkin patch is, and I absolutely cannot wait to take William to his first "real" pumpkin patch next year.

Check out a few of the pics

Happy 6 Months William!

William Michael Tucker is 6 months old today, October 28.  I took a day off work to spend the entire day with my baby and hubby.  We've taken pictures, visited a pumpkin patch, played, napped, and played some more.  It's been wonderful!!!

William will go to the doctor next week for his 6 month check up and shots.  I'll post an update after that with weight and height stats.  He is growing so fast; it's bitter-sweet!

Bama vs Tennessee 2011

Tailgating Fun!
On Saturday, Dustin and I headed down to Tuscaloosa for the big game! Did anyone notice something wrong with that statement??? This was the first time Dustin and I have not taken William to Tuscaloosa with us. William stayed with his maw-maw and paw-paw on Saturday and Saturday night.

We had a wonderful time, but we missed our boy!!

Happy Fall

Finally, we have made progress! Our backyard has always been a work in progress, but things are slowly coming together. I'm looking forward to enjoying a fire and maybe even a glass of wine this evening!

Happy Saturday everyone and ROLL TIDE!

Look At Me Now

Sitting up like a big boy

Mommy loves my smile.

Exploring a book from my bookshelf.

Super excited about his book.

Saving the best for last...
William pulled up to his knees tonight.
*Disclaimer:  While reviewing the video, I realized how ridiculously thick my Southern accent was.  I sound like a redneck.  I apologize.  No comments needed on the overly excited mommy and daddy.

Yay for my boy!  He's growing so fast!

Happy 5 Months William

William turned 5 months on Wednesday, September 28.  This has been a very busy and exciting month for all of us.  William has been busy growing, growing, and growing! Will weighs 17 pounds and 7 ounces! He's starting to wear size 3 diapers.  I can't believe it! Will has grown out of the majority of his 3-6 month clothing. I spent Tuesday night of this week going through boxes of clothes that my sisters have passed down to me trying to find some fall clothes to fit my little man.  Needless to say, I'm still going through boxes as of today.

William is now rolling from his back to his tummy with ease.  He rolls from his tummy to his back now too.  This is his main form of travel these days.  He'll just roll across the floor now.  It's hilarious.  I no longer can leave him playing on his play mat and walk out of the room.  If I do, I find him half way across the room when I walk back in.

William has always been aware of Mr. Bogey, but his fascination with him is really developing now.  Its hard to get Will's attention whenever Mr. Bogey is present in the room.  Bogey has been wonderful with William.  I think these two "brothers" will be the best of friends.

William can now touch the ground in his Baby Einstein learning station/jumper.  He loves to turn himself around in the swivel seat, and the awe on his face when he finds a new play station is priceless.  He doesn't really jump in it yet, but I'm sure that is just around the corner.

William has a favorite cartoon now.   I DVR "Little Einsteins" everyday.  I let him watch an episode of it once he's home from daycare.  Whenever he hears the theme song come on, he starts to smile and will make this gasp/shrill noise.  It is precious!

He's eating great!  He now eats a fruit as a mid morning snack and a vegetable as a mid afternoon snack.  For dinner he will eat a vegetable and have a couple sips of apple juice. I haven't found that there are any
foods that William doesn't like, but he LOVES peaches and squash!  Will takes a 5 ounce bottle every 3-4 hours.

This past weekend William's his spit-up was atrocious.  The spit-up issue has always been present.  I questioned the doctor about it at Will's 4 month check-up.  The doctor advised us to prop William up for at least 30 minutes after he takes a bottle and to begin adding cereal in his bottle. The cereal made a huge difference for a while.  Now the severe spit-up is back.  We took William to the doctor this past Monday to
see what was up with the severe spit-up returning.  Dr. Hester decided that William had all the symptoms of acid reflux and has given us medicine.  The medicine is an acid reducer. It seems to be helping some.

William is sleeping great too!  He is so tired from playing when he comes home from daycare that my boy is ready for bed at 8:00.  He's just fussy and mad if he's up any later.  He will normally sleep until 6 the next morning but occasionally he's up around 5:30.  Usually once a week he'll wake up during the night, and I'll have to get up and check on him, usually to feed or change him.

Here's more exciting news...William is moving out of the "baby" room at daycare.  He'll now be in the room with the crawlers and a few walkers, 6 months - 18 months (I'm totally taking a guess on the ages.  I'm not sure how old all the kiddos are.) William isn't crawling yet, but he's well on his way.  I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he's crawling by his 6 month birthday. I can't believe it's already time for him to move up classes!  He'll now be back in a class with Jorja so I'm very excited about that.

Happy 5 months William!  Mommy and Daddy love you!
